Replacing Your Tires
When it comes to replacing your old tires on your tractor one of the biggest mistakes is thinking
it has to be old for new. This is not the case and more and more tractor owners are becoming aware of
this and learning the advantages of second hand tractor tires. More often than not second hand tires do
just as good a job as brand new tires.
When you think of tires on a tractor it is crucial to wanted maximum traction which minimises tractor wheel slip
which can be an issue when the ground is instable, uneven, not well-worn or when working with heavy loads and often
all in combination. However, when trying to achieve maximal traction often a number of other factors are compromised
on. It was thought that the only way to achieve traction was through increased weight therefore by virtue of this added
weight you were quite literally adhering the tire closer to the ground increasing the contact and hence traction.
This proved problematic. It was found that the fuel efficiency of the tractors
would decline through the increased loads which increased wear on the tire themselves.
Nowadays, thankfully, tractor tires have been designed with traction in mind and
with the optimal condition of light weight, a tractor tire is now
are lighter, more durable and more effective than ever before.
